Innovation and Outlook

Since the GEOWARN software has a very modular structure and is written in the Java programming language, the optional possibility exists to export the software to Personal Digital Assistants (PDA) with access to the Internet, using telephone or wireless technology. This would allow the use of mobile platforms for data analysis and input, providing new and vital opportunities for decision making as well as for mitigation and rescue activities in remote areas.
